A Sales Representative is needed for a Solar Company based in Randburg
The Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling solar energy solutions to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating how the Company’s offerings can meet those requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identify and target potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research
• Set up meetings and travel to customer premises to introduce the Company and its portfolio
• Conduct thorough consultations with prospective customers to understand their energy requirements and goals
• Provide in-depth information on the benefits of solar power, including cost savings, environmental impact, and government incentives
• Develop tailor made solar power solutions specific to each customer’s needs and budget. Collaborate with Solar Engineers/Designers as required
• Provide office staff with detailed information on solutions offered to customers so they can prepare an accurate quotation
• Present proposals to potential customers and address their questions and concerns
• Employ effective closing techniques to secure signed quotations/contracts for solar installations
• Ensure job is handed over to the Installation team once the quotation has been accepted
• Maintain ongoing relationships with customers, providing post-sale support and ensuring a positive customer experience
• Obtain referrals and testimonials from satisfied customers
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and government incentives related to solar energy
• Keep detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress
• Provide regular sales reports to management
• Any other duties as directed by your manager from time to time
Skills, Competencies and Minimum Requirements:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident and outgoing.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Analytical and solutions orientated.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Target driven with proven sales track record.
• Strong knowledge of solar energy systems and industry experience.
• Sales or technical related Diploma/Certificate.
• Own reliable transport.
• Valid Driver’s license and license card.
Willing and able to travel extensively within South Africa and neighboring countries.
Salary: R30 000 Basic + Commission (Depending on the Candidate’s current salary
